The band that invented bluerock (60's rock tunes done as bluegrass) has broadened their repertoire, including bluegrass versions of classical favorites as well as covering the cowboy music of their boyhood heroes, The Sons of the Pioneers. Bob Minser, a member of that definitive group, came to the festival to visit with the band and two join them on stage during the Saturday evening and Sunday noon sets. Those who hadn't seen them before were probably surprised when, during Orange Blossom Special, they left the stage and played from the audience. For an encore, they closed the Saturday night show with Dancin' in the Moonlight and some brave souls in the audience did so.
